Luck       = Paper target with multiple ring for scoring, but also penalties for missing

Chalk     = Nine pieces of chalk on rotating arms (see about .75” of one piece at a time above wall on the move)

Bin Lad = Two sniper field targets with small KZ (two shots each) Two rotating pictures of Bin Laden where you

had to hit between the eyes for 10 (about the size of a .177 pellet)

On the outdoor course it was a balmy 30° F when we started and rose to a comfortable 38-40° as we finished.  The wind was brisk and blowing from left to right and into our faces on the first 5 or 6 lanes and on the last 5 or 6 lanes, it was blowing right to left.  For December 9th in this area of Ontario, we really can’t complain.  We had a 30 shot outdoor field target match, with one target per lane on 15 lanes.  Rino, who shot with us for the first time, was the class of the Ft shooters.  He scored an impressive 25/30 with his new AA s400, using hold over and no clicking for elevation on his 12 power scope.

The indoor course was a real mix in terms of targets and it was warmer than outside.  We shot small field targets, two different kinds of moving targets and a variety of paper targets.  Andrew, Tom and Dennis cleared the hunting targets.  Many shooters tied with 49/50 on the Good Luck targets.  Bert and Tim scored 80/90 on the rotating chalk.  Doug must have had the biggest grudge against Bin Laden, scoring 79/80 on this event.

When we put all the scores together, Bert was the overall winner, followed by Tim who only edged out Mike by 1 point.  Congratulations Bert.  The order of finish determined the order you chose your gift.  Since the gifts were wrapped, there was no real advantage, just more choices to confuse you.

Many thanks to Hans, who did the organizing and much of the setup work.

There were a lot of close scores, but most were interested in having fun and spending a day together shooting before the long wait till spring.  We exchanged gifts, ate pizza and offered each other best wishes for the Christmas Season and New Year.  Now we practice and wait.  The practice is fun, but the waiting, arrrg.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
