The second FT event of the season was held over Easter weekend at HAHA club. The match was set up on the rifle range and featured 6 lanes with 4 targets per lane and the customary kneeling and standing lanes on 1 and 6 with 3 targets each for a total of 60 shots.
There was fierce competition in PCP Open with both Dennis and Richard bringing their “A” games. In the end, Dennis’ US FT rig edged out a 1 point advantage over Richard’s Red Wolf. I expect these two will have many close matches this year!!!
It was awesome to chat with a prospective new competitor “Gary” who made the trek from Sarnia, and to watch Ron try his luck with a stock rigged pistol. Hope to see both out again next match. Our only Junior shooter Daniel continues to improve each match – a bright FT future for this young man!
Congratulations to our division winners:
Rob G – PCP Hunter 111/120
Jeff H – Piston Hunter 101/120
Dennis E – PCP Open 58/60
Bob W – WFTF Piston 43/60
Brian W – WFTF PCP 48/60
Daniel D – Top Junior 33/120
A sincere thank-you to the volunteers who showed up early to get the range ready for the day and also for everyone who stayed around to help take down the course after the event. These events can only run smoothly/on time with volunteers. Please remember to thank them and consider helping out next match!
Match scores are listed below.
